Matching up and synchronizing disparate video and audio formats is a critical part of any broadcast, mobile or postproduction environment. Within its compact 1RU chassis, FS1-X integrates an amazing array of video and audio connectivity and processing. Featuring a flexible architecture, FS1-X simultaneously works with a range of video connectivity from analog to 3G-SDI 10-bit broadcast quality video and incorporates embedded audio, AES, MADI, and analog audio.
Utilizing AJA’s remarkable conversion algorithms, FS1-X supports up, down and cross-conversion between SD and HD signals for the highest quality output possible.
Massive audio flexibility
The growth of 5.1 and 7.1 audio has increased the number of audio channels that must be managed in a production. The MADI standard provides a convenient way to transport huge numbers of audio channels along a single cable, simplifying the cabling demands for broadcasters, mobile trucks, and production.
FS1-X supports both fiber and coax 64-Channel MADI input and output. An internal 224 x 224 audio matrix allows full routing of MADI and all audio coming from SDI, fiber, AES and analog sources for an incredible amount of audio processing capability in a single box.

12G-AMA WorkflowThe 12G-AMA in this workflow diagram is receiving 4K video and embedded audio via 12G-SDI. At the same time, the 12G-AMA is disembedding analog audio to the analog audio I/O for mixing. The output of the mixer is then embedded into the SDI stream being output via the 12G-SDI port of the 12G-AMA. At the same time the ST fiber output is fed to FIDO mini-converter for video village use, allowing multiple monitors to be fed the same video.

ConnectivityThe latest generation of affordable 4K monitors utilize an HDMI 2.0 connection, which allows a full 4K signal to be passed over a single cable. Typical professional 4K workflows use four SDI cables to carry the full resolution image, making it difficult to incorporate these newer monitors. OG-Hi5-4K-Plus is an easy-to-use converter that bridges the gap between these two worlds for seamless integration. HDRHDR or High Dynamic Range, provides the ability to display a wider and richer range of colors, much brighter whites, and much deeper, darker blacks than standard signals allow. This gives your imagery a more ‘dynamic’ look and allows for natural true to life colors to be communicated to your audience. OG-Hi5-4K Plus provides this support for your 4K/UltraHD/HD HDR pipelines toHDMI compatible displays by generating HDR metadata in accordance with HDMI v2.0a/CTA-861.3. OG-Hi5-4K-Plus also provides support for Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) HDR displays over HDMI.
